Scruffy's Word is another opportunity to introduce the characters of Scruffy & Pals.
Here you will meet me,
and my pals and learn about our personalities as we give humorous and sometimes serious tips, opinions and commentary on various golfing subjects and product reviews. I hope you will enjoy your visit....be sure to take your time and look around. I have carefully selected a lot of stuff that I think you will be interested in.
OH...one more thing, we are the feature cartoon in the UNIVERSAL GOLF MAGAZINE

Scruffy's Word Goes Beta!

The purpose of this blog is to complement our official website www.golfaccordingtoscruffy.com. I have just converted Scruffy’s Word to a beta format and in doing so, I have removed some items that were on the old blog and added a few new ones. So, I thought it might help to give you a bit of a written tour.

The main body of the blog is where I will publish new posts introducing additions and changes to our website as well as editorialize on various golf subjects. Just below this post you can read “Scruffy Introduces Father O’Mulligan”. I have set the blog to display only the two most recent posts. However, in the side bar to the right, you will find a section named BLOG ARCHIVE. By clicking on the drop down box, you will have access to all previous posts.

The LINKS section contains links to an array of golf related websites. The first three links are to >Scruffy and Pals website. The next three links will take you to the official sites for the >USGA (United States Golf Association), the USGA Rules of Golf and the >RandA (Royal and Ancient) Rules of Golf.

>Hooked on Golf is the best site I have seen anywhere on the web. You just have to see it; I am sure you will agree. John Abendroth and Mitch Juricich are TV and radio show hosts on KNBR68 and Fox Sports Network in the Bay area. Take a tour and be sure to click FUN, then click on the juke box; the jokes are fantastic! >Golf Course Directory is a link to GolfLink’s huge directory of golf courses in the United States and Canada.
The Best Web Resource for Golfers
is the home page for GolfLink website and is full of information and resources for every golfer including; golf course reviews, travel/vacation, tips/instruction, equipment, real estate, news, and a golf community with a really nice forum where you can interact with other golfers. GolfLink membership is free; I am an active participant on their forum, so go join up and get involved.

>Just-For-Golf is just that, it is all about golf and has an abundance of information on products, tips, instruction, articles, jokes, equipment, golf carts, golf balls, gifts and a whole lot more. Powered by SiteBuildit, Just-For-Golf is owned and maintained by my pal Joe. He works hard at keeping new and interesting stuff for his visitors, so click on the link and take a look, you will be glad you did.

The remaining links are the official websites for the LPGA, Ladies European Tour, PGA Tour, European PGA Tour, The PGA, and the World Golf Hall of Fame.

THE GOOGLE ADSENSE banner is a way I can make some bucks if you visit and buy from their advertisers.

SEARCH AMAZON allows you to search for everything inside Amazon. Click the “all products” drop down box and select “Sports Outdoors”, golf is within that catagory.

FIND GOLF BARGINS is a search box for EBAY where you can find and bid anything and everything under the sun, including golf stuff.

If you have a website or a blog, click on the Google AdSense button just under the EBAY banner; it will tell you how to put Adsense on your site. If you don’t have a blog and would like to, click on the logo "I Power Blogger" and learn how easy it is to have your very own blog.

GOLF RELATED BLOGS contains links to other golf related blogs. The Golf Blogger is one of the most popular on the web. Eat Golf is another very highly ranked blog. Both of these blogs are well worth visiting. I assure you, you will spend a lot of time just cruising around all the information these blogs contain. The Joy is in the Journey is a very interesting blog by my friend Matthew Hughes, the self ordained High Priest of the First Church of Golf (FCOG). His aim is to promote the spiritual and transcendent qualities of the game of golf. Golf Saga, is an honest and personal account of growth and learning as my pal Chris walks, runs and yes sometimes stumbles on his path of life and golf. Visit his blog and follow his odyssey.

BLOG ARCHIVE is where I mentioned earlier you can access all previous posts, incase you have missed any.

The large AMAZON banner on the bottom is another opportunity for me to make some money when you click and buy from Amazon.

I hope you will enjoy Scruffy’s Word and will put it in your favorites list.

Thanks for the promotion, Dan! I really appreciate it. This site is a lot of fun, and I love the creativity and variety each of your characters exhibit.
